Do like Studio Ghibli movies, especially Spirited Away? How about a grown up version that takes place at the real locations? Then The Meido Chronicles will be your cup of tea.
This book takes place 70 years after Fallen Angel, Son of Tenshi, but it is written in a fresh POV. So, if you are new to my books and my world, this is not a bad place to start. You will see the world of the angels described in the Fallen Angel series from a human perspective. While reading Son of Tenshi might give you a bit of an edge on Naoki's back story, but I think reading the in reverse order would be fun.
Follow Naoki's adventures as he and Jessica, a nurse, fall head over heels into the Sanzu river and in love. Where on The Meido path, they discover more mysteries of the five realms, collect the royal regalia, learn about yokai and the truth behind the identity of the Masked Ghost.
